Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital

Here we are cutting the circles for the labyrinth pattern into the concrete. The cuts aren't deep, fortunately, as that would take much heavier equipment.

John Ridder is operating the saw and also measuring the distance between the lines to be sure there is no variance. Chuck Hunner is vacuuming and Judy Hopen is managing the cords, reminding John where to start and stop, and doing other miscellaneous tasks. It takes three to fours days of hard labor to score the pattern into the concrete.

.In the lower photo, Chuck is cutting and John is vacuuming. Does Judy also do some of the cutting? Oh, yes. In the background is the lunation-cutting tool.
